Fan in Marshall MG100DFX

I have a Marshall MG100DFX and recently the fan sounds like it is dying when i first turn it on but the noise goes away after a while.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if there is a reason/way of fixing it rather than having to go to the hastle of taking it back etc...

thx

If the fan is shot, you can easily replace it. Just go to any electronics / computer store & they should be able to hook you up.

but if i changed the fan myself wouldnt i validate any warranty the amp may have?

I'd email Marshall about it. Chances are they'd direct you to an authorized Marshall repair shop so you wouldn't void the warranty.
