Which floorboard next? line6? boss? other?

Hi all, i think its time to ditch my line6 pod xt live floorboard, i cant get it to work with Reaper.

At the moment all i can use for recording is a line6 ux1 interface with pod farm, im looking for a great floor pedal that will allow me to use it as a guitar interface to my pc, select a tone, record it, DONE>!!

Im interested in your experiences and opinions on the line6 x3 live and the boss gt-10, or, other suggestions you might have.

Thanks

Digitech RP1000 or GSP1101.

AxeFX if you have the budget.

For the record, I was never a Line6 or Boss GT fan. The Zoom G9.2tt was a decent unit but had way too much gain for me.

^exactly this

I've done a review for the Digitech RP500. If you check my history of posts you see my experience with the digi vs all the other folks (including the boss gt 10 and numerous line 6 devices). I preach digitech like alaskabat preaches the search function !

Having owned both the GT-10 and the Pod X3 Live, I can state with confidence the GT-10 is by FAR the better unit, and not by a little either. WAYYYYYYY Better build quality, more versatile tone routing, and its real easy to get some great sounds out of it.

Love my BossGT10 and the fact that I can add extra ctrl pedals....and that I can switch the channels on my Mesa. Not sure if the Line 6 has that option.
I only own the boss so my love for it is one sided..

Have you seen the newly announced Line 6 PodHDs? They look pretty neat.

I have a GT8 which is pretty good, lots of people say its takes ages to tweak a good tone but i never felt that this was the case (hundreds of patches online helps aswell) and the GT10 should only be better. Although id say the Axe FX is the way to go if price is no object

Considering that both your listed ideas are in the $500 range, I'm guessing that something like the AxeFX is a little out of the budget...but it's the superior piece of gear.
Boss is probably what I'd pick for the two you mention but I don't think it's as robust a tool when it comes to computer usage. What I mean by that is that the software side is not as developed as the Pods.
If you're mostly looking at something to go into your computer with, you might also look at some of the IK stuff. They make some foot controllers that work with their amp software.

+1 - I have the GSP 1101 and I continue to be amazed with its flexibility, great tones and ease of use. I am a past Boss GT owner and I sold my Boss GT and bought the GSP and I have not looked back. The GSP has been great for direct recording for me although I haven't tried it with Reaper.

I know your thread is about a floorboard and the GSP is a rack mount unit but you can buy the controller for it, although this will ad some cost.

The GT-10 is built like a tank, but the POD simulations are awesome.

Here is an example of a X3 tone I recorded some time ago:
