Too many to list. Just make sure you get something with a ton of gain, cause a 57 is a hungry beast.

Re: good pre-amp for mic

The Tl audio PA-1 is a cheap but great sounding tube mic preamp. If you’re recording using a DAW, then I find it can really warm up the mix and give that sweet analogue sound!

I have been comparing the FMR RNP and the Black Lion Audio Auteur. Both seem like great pre's for the money if they live up to their reputation.

Another vote for RNP... Love all of their products.

I also have a Great River in 500 format.. The RNP holds it own compared to my GR IMO....

I would stay way from the ART pre's...

Some awesome pres.
Just pick the one that has what you need.
I already used eureka, studio channel and tube pre, always with great results.
Eureka really added punch to my recordings.
They look cool and sound awesome.

Presonus makes good stuff and at a decent price. You can't go wrong with the Eureka.

Re: good pre-amp for mic

I use an ART tube MP. Works well for me, but I only really use it with a condenser mike.
