Good Slider EQ.

Anyone have experiance with Danelectro's fish and chips 7 band?

I'm looking to mellow out the mids on my Quad Jr, boost the highs a little more. Looking for an entry level EQ and they seem to have the cheapest Ive found so far. I want an MXR EQ BUT I dont have 130.00 to just drop on it right now. I want to experiment. Otherwise the Kustom Quad Jr GOES AWAY and I find a new amp.....because this amp is not cutting it.

Re: Good Slider EQ.

If you want an MXR EQ, save up and get it...don't spend 35$ on an EQ that probably isn't that good in the first place. That's my philosophy anyways

Re: Good Slider EQ.

the whole danelectro line is a knockoff of famous pedals, this one I believe is "inspired by" boss ge-7. I usually avoid lo-quality knockoff products. If you don't feel like spending that much on a 10 band EQ, MXR 6 band is enough I think. I own it and it's the most important pedal in my chain. 10 band version has some advantages, like input and output volume and higher headroom but additional bands don't seem very useful, they are either too low or too high. Also, you can find a used one for 60-70$ for 10 band, and 40-ish for 6 band
cheers

Re: Good Slider EQ.

The Fish n' Chips is a good EQ. Don't be fooled by the cheap price. Many good reviews on it. I own one and also the 10 band MXR. Do some research.

The Peavey site I visit (amp section) has many a user of this EQ and they're happy, too.
