Good tuners/machine heads

Hi I am wondering about replacing the machine heads on my ibanez premium guitar but I don't want to spend much money. Anyone got suggestions? Oh and does anyone know if all of the ibanez machine heads are made by Gotoh.

What exact guitar? What improvement are you looking for? Gotoh is used by Ibanez' best guitars and also some new Premiums. These are really good. If the machine head is made in Japan it's likely Gotoh.

Re: Good tuners/machine heads

I've never seen an Ibanez guitar with double-locking trem that had insufficient machine heads. Improved machine heads offer no benefit unless you intend block the trem, remove the nut pads and play it as a fixed-bridge guitar.

Re: Good tuners/machine heads

You could put locking tuners on but that only makes string changes faster if you use the same turn ratio.
