Guitar in case or out?

Just wondering, if I only use my guitar 2-3 times a week, should I keep it in its case or just leave it in the practice room on a stand? The room is locked and cannot be accessed by the kids.
Thx
Kev

Re: Guitar in case or out?

It depends on the temperature of the room and the humidity.

Its always safer in the case. That being said, most of mine hang on the wall.

Re: Guitar in case or out?

Some guitars like being inside their cases others prefer to be out.
You just have to have a good talk with your guitar and see if its an innie or an outtie.
Sometimes it will do whatever you want it to do and other times it will ignore you.
But it will let you know either way.

Re: Guitar in case or out?

I keep mine in its case with those silicone or whatever humidity absorver packets. Note wher I live humidity never drops below 60% and most of the time it's ove 75%... She likes being in there from my expierience.

Regards,
Nelson

Re: Guitar in case or out?

All my guitars hang on the wall. Too much hassle dealing with cases. Cases go in the corner and come out for band practice.
