Unhappy I'm missing all the feedback..

I can't figure out what's wrong with my setup.. I've been using a Rocktron Voodu Valve as my main preamp for years with awesome tone and sustain, however, since I switched from a Peavey 5150 head to a VHT 2:90:2 rackmount power amp (easier to carry around shows), I've been missing the controlled feedback and sustain which i've always enjoyed getting. I replaced the 12AX7 tube in the preamp in thinking that might be the culprit but it didn't do whack.. I bought the VHT amp used off e*** and is in perfect working condition. I really like the clarity and sharpness of this amp at all levels with the KT88 tubes but i definitely need more saturation. I also tried the amp at different volume levels and not even a single presence of feedback .. need some help here.. would I be better off with a lower powered amp instead?

Here's my setup: Ibanez JS1200 -> Rocktron Voodu Valve -> VHT 2/90/2 -> Marshall Lead 1936 2x12 loaded with Celestions.

Just think. Now you never have to worry about feedback . I'll take that 5150 though .

I usually have to work to get 5150s NOT to feedback.... so I don't know what's up with that...

Ive just bought a Peavey Valveking, you can get controlled feedback at low levels on it no probs whereas my marshall can struggle sometimes.

I can get my Strat w/ single coils to feedback using my JSX on the crunch channel. I have the gain at 6 with the master at 3.
