ISP Decimator II tone problem

I recently picked up an isp decimator II, but I'm having a problem with it. Whenever I use it, it kills my tone and makes it sound choppy. I'm running it into a JVM205h and I have a ten band mxr eq along with a maxon od808 before the ISP. Any suggestions? I've already tried running it thru the loop.

Re: ISP Decimator II tone problem

Isp must always go first if going in through front of amp,you are cleaning the guitar signal only NOT the effects etc...

Re: ISP Decimator II tone problem

Also, slowly turn isp knob til hiss fades, then palm mute a single low string and pick once. You will hear the note then hiss then silence, repeat this slowly while turning isp knob until you only have note then silence.

It chops and kills tone when the gate is high. You need to back it off. The JVM is a beast. You need to balance out the gain on the amp with everything else.
