Re: Jim Marshall suffers a stroke

well.. he is VERY old... i wouldn't be surprised to hear about some more of the "greats" dying off or having heart problems..
I'm not trying to sound negative.

Re: Jim Marshall suffers a stroke

I wish him well too. Maybe he had some sort of revelation and now going to start making super amps and get Drake to make transformers like they did back in the day but it will have a 4th tube which can be switched on or off so you can have tones from a plexi to a SL-X in one amp. Only problem is that if he did that, I'd have to find a way to dig up the money to buy one...

Re: Jim Marshall suffers a stroke

maybe they'll stop and think.. hey.. maybe our "springs in a box" aren't actually good at making a pleasent reverb!!

and then they'll make a Real reverb.. that doesn't suck

I wish Jim the best, without him, we simply wouldn't have the best guitar amplification in the world.

Re: Jim Marshall suffers a stroke

i met him a few months back, he seemed a bit frail, as most 82 year olds will, but he was still as active as everyone else, and he was singing and and stuff. pretty crazy how fast strokes can happen
