Lexicon MPX G2

I have a DOD Metal-X pedal, & am getting a Lexicon MPX G2, & was
wondering how good a metal distortion it can make. Any help would be
appreciated.

the mpxg2 is awesome, but for distortion - forget it!

I use to own one, and I would again if I needed it(was in a band etc...). Excellent, but takes some learning. But these racks aren't known for distortion so don't expect much.

I've owned one since they came out. I find the control and sound incredible. You're very free to do what you want.

Personally, I have a great sounding distortion coming out of it. It will take some tweaking to get good sounds since the presets aren't too good. But you can copy pre-existing ones and modify them to your own settings.

I've been through many preamps and the MPX G2 is one of the best.

Distortion might be ok to you, until you try it on a Triple Recto!

Maybe the Lexicon is good for milder distortion sounds. After all, one man's nasty buzz could be another man's dream tone!
