Line 6 Guitarport

Does anybody have one of these ? , I have a couple of questions about it if any of you would be so kind to answer

1) I've heard it has all the presets and sounds of a podXT , is this correct ?
2) , what is the recording quality like ?

Thanks
Anton

I don't own it but I can elaborate on 1 of them. It only has a few amp models, like 10 or 12 or something. recording quality I have no clue.

The line 6 website has the list of amps and effects. I think they just upgraded it to 2x the amount of amps and effects. The same ones as the XT, I think but not as many.
Good Luck
PS I think I'm getting one too, this weekend.

I have a guitarport and its excellent. The quality of the presets especially for distortion is better than the Digitech 2120 Artist I'd had for the 4 years previous.

The only problem is the quality of the treble. It seems severely lacking in treble and I have to pump my EQ up bigtime to match it, OR not use a cabinet model. Very weird, I'm gonna try a PODxt next.

I must say that the interactivity with the GuitarPort is what makes it the coolest guitar toy out there though in terms of new concepts. The lessons rock, the 'match preset' to an artist's sound is awesome too. Kudos to Line6.

How is the dive bomb tracking? I see threads where it gets bashed along with Hi gain settings.

Is it possible to record through it with the amp settings bypassed, or does it have the "tube pre-amp" or similar model so it could be used on an acoustic, or mic?

edit:
After checking the site, I noticed it does have a "tube intstrument preamp" setting, I'm guessing this would be good for things like piezo-ed acoustics, and basses? Would it also work for running a mic through?
