My friend told me to buy a marshall acoustic amp, a good multi-effects, and use that for my electric guitar. He said the tone would be clear and really good. Has anyone tried that? What do you think?

dont know about marshall acoustic but i use Ibanez acoustic (25W) amp.
it sound very good if you use amp simulator like GT8 / POD.
i'm also use it with boss metalzone pedal... sounds good... better than use it with marshall MG. it is more punch & warm.
