I found the mg100dfx online for a reasonable price of $399. I guess at the exchange rate in Canada, that would still be what, about $800. I printed off the page and took it to the local retailer and he matched the head and 4x12 cabinet out the door for 699. Smokin deal for a Marshall. I would have loved a tube head, but it costs so much more, and I have limited funds. I've gotten some great sounds out of this head. I use the much maligned gt-3 through it via the 4 cable method. I know people hate this processor, but using it this way I still get the marshall sound that I paid for and the effects that I can live with...for now.

Don't forget that the warranty is only going to be valid in the country that you purchase it in. Therefore, don't expect to get it serviced under warranty in Canada if you bought it in the US. Buy it in Canada.

Marshalls are great amps but no matter how great something is - warranties are always important.
