Marshall JCM 800 2203 Head

I have an original Marshall JCM 800 2203 Head that I am thinking of putting up for sale. I have a JCM 900 4500 Dual Reverb Head that I tend to use a lot more frequently as well as a Laney LC30 that I use the majority of the time.

The 2203 head is in excellent original condition, as I said I hardly play it - seems a bit of a waste to have it sitting there. This is one of the infamous models that has the original vertical dual inputs (Serial Number: 01249P). The amp is very neat and tidy cosmetically with 3 very minor nicks that are very hard to notice and certainly doesn't affect the sound.

So the big question is how much should I put it on the market for? There are a lot of reissues starting to come out and the prices of those are quite high, given this is an original (unmodified - a rarity for this model these days) what range should I be looking at.

Why on earth would you take a 900 over an 800?

I find the 900 more versatile for my style of play, I like the reverb and dual channel functionality.

Scan the 'bay and see what the last few have gone for? I have no idea, beyond that.

...or maybe look for a Marshall collector forum - I mean, we'd have no problem suggesting a price for a mint '93 7VWH, you know?

Did I miss the part where the forum name changed to "Price Checks 'R' Us"? Drew gave you sound advice, it's only worth what someone will pay for it, and checking the closed auctions on evilbay and/or looking for a Marshall based forum(plexipalace I think?) would serve you better.

 I'll pay shipping if you're just looking to give it to someone, if that's what you're asking.
