Anyone tried/owned the Quad preamp and the Studio preamp? Compared the two? Did they come with foot switch?

Thanks!
Mikael

Hey dude

I had the Quad preamp and I liked it, but not great for high gain, at least mine wasn't
I tried every setting from boogies suggestions to people from the net, and I just couldn't get it to sound the way it should have

But before you take that for what it is, I probably should have replaced the old tubes in it

the Studio is pretty similar but the quad has more features.

My God not enough gain!!!! are you Nigel Tuffnel?

I've got the studio and it's personally my fave amp of all time.

It has the best tone ever.

The quad was two of these stuck toghether *4U high. 4 channels I figure. I don't know I've never seen one in the flesh so to speak.

You can make a foot switch it's a simple on off for channel reverb and eq ( I think). Each have their own jack socket.

the footwitch was different for the quad.

You could have 2 channels on at once with both EQ channels on at the same time as well

I'm sure the unit had enough gain, but like I said I never got new tubes for it so, my loss

but now i'm getting a rectifier or a triaxis so...I should be fine

The Triaxis is king, tho' you need to pay a Kings ransom for it.

Good tone isn't cheap.
