To much booming bass from my cab. what could it be?

This my set-up:
Digitech 2120 - marshall 9100 - carvin 4x12.
Whatever i do, there too much bass!
this is cool if playing alone, but too much mud with a band.
is it the cab?

would 4x10 solve it?

How about backing off on the bass on your eq section?

Try cranking that volume knob. With some speakers this helps to get rid of excessive "boominess".

If the previous replies haven't helped, try loosening or removing the back panel of the cabinet.

DS-1, with tone control set quite high. Should muddy things a little, and increase the treble response of the cab. That's if what you hear sounds excessively 'bassy' rather than muddy - ie. sod all treble from the amp.
