Exclamation Music man amps

I have an RD 100 head that is my main amp. It sounds great but it's kind of beat up and i'm not sure if it's running to it's fullest potential. Does anyone know of anyone who mods/restores amps? I understand that there's some good mods that can be done on music man amps to improve the tone.

Re: Music man amps

Sadly the best way to improve the tone of a Musicman amp is probably to get the pre-amp stage disconnected and plug something like a MesaBoogie Tri-Axis into the power amp!

I played through an ancient and very beaten up Musicman 130 212 (130 watts, 2 12 inch speakers) for a while - it unfortunately wasn't very inspiring - very dry, characterless overdriven tone.

Re: Music man amps

Hmmm. Mine sounds great. i just wanted to make sure nothing in it was rusted out. and replace some of the cheaper parts that make it affordable to mass produce.
