My 1 year old Peavey 5150 II amp died

It died tonight at a band rehearsal, ahhhhhh

power was on but only half the volume,
all of a sudden the volume just starts to get quieter until gone (5 seconds)

Power lights on the front are still lite up and the amp still makes a noise but the tubes at the back are NOT lighting up.

ahhh anyone got any tips on what this could be.

Check the fuses? Blow any tubes?

the fuse is fine,
don't know about the tubes. if one goes do they all go do they? cause none of them are lighting up (there are 4 big mothers that are viewable).

My guess is it's either a power tube or a bad cap. I'd start by replacing all the power tubes (if the amp is a year old it's time to replace the power tubes anyway). If the problem persists it's probably a bad capacitor and you'll need to take it in to a tech. I had to do that years ago with my old Super Twin and as I remember it wasn't very expensive at all (around 50$ including parts and service).

Had the same thing. With mine it was a pre-amp tube.
