My rig

Just want to share my rig with you dudes, i been on a respite for awhile, and decided to get back in. I found a new Marshall 425a Hendrixs Reissue 425e Green back cab and bought a Rocktron Velocity 300 and a Rocktron Chameleon "online" effects processor. The new RG1XXV is a beast! I love it, best Ibanez i ever played... The rig is solid and im very pleased, wondering what you dudes think, what would you add or change?

Re: My rig

I think it is very cool..
I wouldnt change anything but i would get a 10 space rack and add stuff when you could.
Like a mesa 2020 and a nice tube preamp like a triaxxis and maybe a t.c. g force.

nice to have options. and i wish i had a stereo rig.

Thanks! Im looking at racks right now. It would be nice to find a purple one to match the tolex on the Marshall.

Re: My rig

The 425a is the matching cab for the Vintage Modern. Not a Hendrix cab, but great none the less - I have one!

Nice compact rig!

Re: My rig

Cool rig RG, I already had almost all Rocktron stuff, I used to like Rocktron BUT my tastes always loved mesa boogie tone so back to 2004, I sold my rocktron stuff and built this rack=

Alway loved it, it was my guitarist heaven BUT because our border taxes, it costed me a small fortune, the same value of a medium class car so in 2008 I sold everything.I play in cover bands so there's no reason to take that gear to a pub to play covers, it was always inside the house only to make my ears have multiple orgasms
Like Andrew said, a triaxis probably would make you cry if you like mesa.
You could use Chameleon for composing/practicing and even recording demos but when you have to record something important, you could use triaxis or even better, use both tones(mesa/rocktron) to record your stuff

Re: My rig

Whats a good price for the G-Force in lightly used condition? I see they are pretty pricey new. But it sounds incredible from what i could hear on youtube.

Re: My rig

The Chameleon was my main preamp until I got my Prophecy.
I have the same power amp.
I tried the Mesa Boogie rack power amps, but the Rocktron Velocity was better sounding.

Re: My rig

I cant say i ever tried any Mesa gear nor the Prophecy... I did get an Engle preamp and honestly i hated it... What a noisy piece it was. Im liking what im hearing on the G-Force though and whem i can land one, i probably will.

Re: My rig

My pre-amp is a Digitech 2112, upgraded to the 2120 artise. 2 rocktron Volicity 250 watters, I run two full Randall XL stacks, one amp per stack. Talk about a pounding sound!
