NAD! Marshall JVM410HJSB!

At last! It arrived! Took pictures of the whole unpacking process. Felt like a kid during xmas time In the meantime, the cabinet is in as well, pictures at the bottom!
in follow up of my earlier info thread: http://www.jemsite.com/forums/f30/th...ad-120215.html

First impressions: The blue was a bit of a guess, but I think it looks stunning, very electric and matches the gold like no other! Just don't get why they put a white logo on there and not a gold one. Marshall logo is a tad smaller than usual if I' correct. Further, I was a bit disappointed the limited edition did not carry a few more goodies, maybe a special dust cover or even a numbered certificate. Nope, nothing... It seems to be exactly the same as the normal version. What were you thinking over there in Milton Keynes? Too bad for that, but I really like the blue tolex.

Now I have to wait to get the blue cab, it seems to be stuck somewhere in transit due to its heavy weight and big size. So I can't test it right now... a bit painfull.

But here you go, more pictures will follow when I get the matching cab.

That just looks amazing - soundclips will seal the deal though ;-)

Marshall STILL have that magic in their signature stuff by the looks of things...

Re: NAD! Marshall JVM410HJSB!

First impressions:
Only had about 30 min to play with it, so it is just a quicky.

Clean sounds better than expected! better than my 6100LM's clean. Quite sparkly, full... I'm curious to hear what it does combined with a DS1 or Satchurator.

Crunch is really nice! More than enough gain in there as well. In the past I always skipped crunch channels om my amps, this amp will change that Very dynamic sounding

Lead channels are a step into heavier metal for sure, again more than enough gain, wouldn't know what to do with even more gain. Mid shift is a nice addition for the more heavier stuff again.

Master volumes and volume in the loop enables you to have a really nice sound at low bedroom levels which is what I hoped for.

I come from years of headphone and axe fx playing so I need a little adaption time. Playing trough a live tube amp is great, more sensitive, also more dynamic, breaths more for sure. I'm used to more tighter sounding gain types, this amp sounds quite loose to me now.

Before doing any real statements, I'm gonna play with this amp for a while and adapt to it

Without a reverb it is a bit on the dry side I'm looking into a reverb and delay atm. Hard time choosing. Multifx or not (only in the loop)...

Nice! Gassing for one of these now...
The box says digital reverb, but I thought they had noise gates instead, which seems to be confirmed by your last post, misprint on box?

ah jep, that is an error in the label, wel spotted ! JVM JS's have noise gate in stead. They work very well btw! np fading out going into feedbacks and harmonics.

Very nice looking amp. What are the speakers in the cab? Celestion g12t-75 or V30?

Re: NAD! Marshall JVM410HJSB!

thx for all the nice comments

Celestion g12t-75's. Apparently after having tested the whole lot, Joe and Santiago decided these where the speakers that fitted the amp best.
