Need advice on Chorus Pedal

I need a good chorus pedal for my clean sound but I don't know what to get. Any suggestions?
And where should it go in my signal chain? Mine is:

guitar --> wah --> TS-9 (acting as a boost) --> amp
fx send --> EQ --> volume --> delay --> fx return

Thanks!

I use a Boss CH-1 and like the sound of it. It has quite a range, it can get a very James Hetfield style chorus.

You can run it through the FX loop or between the guitar and amp. I read lots of arguements for and against, at the moment I run it between the guitar and amp due to lack of cabling.

I've been using an Ibanez BC-9 BiMode Chorus for years, and absolutely love it. They can be a bit tricky to find, but there are usually a couple on that auction site. Great lush analog chorus!

Keeley mod Boss CE-2. Ive only used Boss Choruses and liked the Ce-2 better than the CH-1 or CE-5. The Keeley mod makes the tone better and the rate is radically increased almost into pitch bend territory.

yeah get a Boss Super Chorus (can't remember the model #) and see if you can get it Keeley modded. Those things are awsome.

i really like my Boss CE-2.
and as for position, i read that its best to have modulation effects like chorus closer to the amp than to the guitar in the chain.

e..g guitar -> distortion -> chorus -> amp (thats my setup anyway )

I think the super chorus is the Ch-1. I'm pretty sure keeley only mods the CE-2. If your not going to Mod it then I think the Ch-1 is the best bet.
As for position I usually put it between the flanger (Ibanez FL-3050 and the delay (Boss dm-2) which is the last pedal in the chain.
You should be able to get a ch1 or ce5 for @ $50 on ebay. The ce-2 is usually a little more.

I use either a Voodoo Lab analog chorus or the Line 6 modulation modeler. The voodoo lab sounds fantastic, but it tends to boost the signal, best sounding chorus I've heard and I tried tons before getting it. THe line 6 I absolutely love, it is infinitely tweakable and you get much more than your run of the mill chorus. It has some great sounds in it as well. It's true bypass and stereo and you can hook an expression pedal up to it for even more flexibility...hands down a fantastic pedal. It's a little on the expensive side, but one of the few things that are actually worth what you pay, IMHO.

I quite like the Digitech Chorus pedal (XMC right?), tried it in a store the same day I tried out a Boss Chorus pedal and it was the better of the two in my opinion.

The one I saw in a local store was the Milkshake Chorus I think. I tried it and it sounded good, but there aren't many sound options.

Should I try a BOSS CH-1 or a CE-5? Which one gives me more tonal options?

CH-1 sounds a little more traditional, CE-5 a little more glossy if that makes any sense. I like the ch-1 better, but I still say get a CE-2 and have Keeley mod it, you'll never look back.
