Peavey 6505+ 112 combo

I have been checking these out online. Anyone here have any experience with them? Would love some input about them.

Re: Peavey 6505+ 112 combo

I played one at a store and liked it, but I found it sounded muted somehow, like there was still a cover on the amp. As well, it is a bargain because it is Chinese-made, which may or mat not mean anything quality-wise.

But for the price, it's awfully nice.

Re: Peavey 6505+ 112 combo

I heard it sounds great, but is HUGE! Check out the dimensions,,,,as big or maybe
bigger than some 2x12's. Probably contributes to a huge sound, though. Also a bit of a bummer it is not made in USA like most Peavey gear, but then the price would be much higher, too.

Re: Peavey 6505+ 112 combo

I have one.
I love it..
although I do use a sonic maximizer in the effects loop. It more matches the other guitarists randall with his sm on.

but either way that amp is a beast. Not the best clean channel though as its very hard to get a clean that doesnt break up just a little bit..

i use a stereo chorus and run a b52 at112 with it for my cleans though...

Overall the good way way outweighs the bad if you play heavier music..

this amp slays!
