Re: piezo

Ibanez isn't the only company retro fitting it. There are also several other companys putting this stuff on their guitars. Especially Godin.

Piezo is an element put into the bridge/saddles of the gutiar and it reads the vibrations of the strings differently than standard pickups. They make your guitar sound more acoustic and stuff.

The Roland stuff is a MIDI type deal where you plug it into a MIDI device and it'll change the sound of your guitar into whatever you want... piano... claranet... custom sounds.

They are good if you like them and want to use them. As far as build quality goes they are good yes. In terms of sound quality that's for you to decide

Re: piezo

But Ibanez is the only current company offering production piezo and GK models with locking tremolos.
