PODXT vs GNX3000

I was looking at these both, was just wonder on the difference...

Used for all around tones, clean , dirt, grunge and if you simulate other guitarist sounds...

I was also looking at the rack monts version:
POD® xt Pro

Any thoughts,

You really should go to your local guitar center or other music store and plug into both.

Re: PODXT vs GNX3000

I just got a pod recently, and i gotta say, its always much different than in the store. In the guitar center where i tried them out they always had them pluggged into ****ty speakers and nothing that can really demonstrate their potential. The pod xt live is a great piece of gear, especially the public tone exchange (www.customtone.com) where you can get free presets made by line 6 and others. For me, i would say go with the pod. I previsouly had a lower model digitech pedal, and the pod surpasses the quality hands down. Its functionaly is great once you get the hang of it. Another pedal you should check out is the boss gt-8. Sounds very very good, but you can't share presets with people like you can with the pod, which to me is very valuable in learning how to create sounds. Good luck, I hope this helps. Pm me if you got any questions.

Re: PODXT vs GNX3000

I just picked up a POD XT Live for use as a practice "toy" and am REALLY impressed!

I actually did the one thing that I never thought I'd do: used a modelling device for a gig. The thing performed flawlessly and is definitely a worthwhile tool to have in the arsenal.
