RG770DX Neck

Someone has offered me a pretty good condition 770DX neck but with no nut or machineheads.

He wants $300 for it?

Is that alot or what?

Re: RG770DX Neck

Colour??

I bought a complete Lazer Blue RG770DX recently for £350. So the neck with taxes/shipping etc will take it close to £275? Sounds like a rip off to me.

Re: RG770DX Neck

I'm always scouring the bay, but I rarely see 770DX's in great condition and good colours.

Re: RG770DX Neck

If this is in US $ then its not to bad a deal considering really good condition 550 maple necks are getting well into the $200+ range on da' bay. If it's the Lazer Blue or even the Red maple one, I would jump on it.

Re: RG770DX Neck

I have a 770DX body with no neck, the neck met an fatal incident, so this is perfect for me. It's shark tooth and rosewood, mine was blue maple, but I've never been able to find a 770DX neck and only seen the one 770DX guitar on the bay for a while.

I rang my local dealer, Machinehead and they said get it right away, cos I would need £500 to buy a neck from Ibanez, plus give them the old neck which I don't have, and this neck works out at £190 and it is in pretty gread condition.

Re: RG770DX Neck

£400 bid so far, then I'll still be in the same boat if I spent more on that, a guitar with no neck

Re: RG770DX Neck

I got my eyes on that one as well Ant, but the asking 400 price has put me off.
Of course you could buy another 770dx and recoup some of the money by selling the body and parts.

Re: RG770DX Neck

For £400 or more, If I bought that guitar, I'd end up keeping it.

For £190 the 770DX neck for my blue 770DX isn't a bad deal really. The bids were £70 or something when I last checked.
