Re: Roland Cube 60 or Mesa Boogie F30?

I think Roland Cube 60 is great amp, i have Cube 30 and it rocks. Good sounds but Mesa Boogie is Mesa Boogie. It's the best! I have never tried F30 but it can't be very bad. Mesa has quality sounds so you should get the Mesa Boogie F30. Can't go wrong.

Marshall JCM are tube, Valvestate are 1 valve preamp and a solid state power stage and the MG/HD series are solid state with modeling.

If you want a modeling amp I'd sugest a Line 6 Flextone for the price.

A Laney! You could get a TFX for around that price. But if you want tubes, you could dig up a used TT or GH around evilbay.

sure!

so difference is really very big and easy to understand, valve amp are fully analog and "full of life" and modelling amps are digital emulators of valve amps. that's all

i think u must decide what tone u want to hear from your guitar and than think about amp cuz all amps are different and give different tone.

Re: Roland Cube 60 or Mesa Boogie F30?

Seriously, if you can afford a Mesa Boogie F30 then would you want to get a VOX AD30VT? The AD30VT is great for a modelling amp, but in the long term its good to get a valve amp. The Mesa Boogie F30 is a fantastic amp, great clean sound and sweet overdrives, I say get a Mesa Boogie, or any other valve amp rather than the VOX ^_^

Re: Roland Cube 60 or Mesa Boogie F30?

You MUST buy the Boogie F30 if it's available! I use a TriAxis and Mesa Stereo 290 power amp - our local shop has an F30 sitting in it, and if I could scrape up the extraordinary amount they are asking for it (this IS Australia!) I'd buy it in a flash, the F30 is an absolute killer of a small amp, and it is a REAL tube amp - remember, modelling amps only give you a simulation of other amps, not the real thing - the F30 sounds like, well, an F30 -and they sound great!
