Arrow Soldano Hot Mod is kickin' A$$

I had picked up a used Soldano Hot Mod a couple weeks back. It turned my Marshall 2150 into a beast, even at low volumes! I finally enjoy the tone with this amp now. I don't even need an overdrive pedal with it any more, unless I want to go way over the top!

It basically replaces the second stage 12AX7 tube in your Master volume amp, and adds a Soldano SLO Overdrive type pre-amp to it. No wires, no fuss, no more permanent Mods.

They need to put this thing back on the market!

Re: Soldano Hot Mod is kickin' A$$

I just got an old soldano 50-plus. The serial number on it is 50- Big Jim. It's 2 preamp gain and burn channels get the classic overdrives and the more over the top type gains. I think it was made around 1993 by Big Jim.
I haven't played with all the possibilities that much yet.

Would like to hear anything about this amps info and history.

That's how it's been for me........I bought my SLO in 2005 after YEARS and YEARS of buying/selling tube amps. I'm still giddy about it to this day, and I've had ZERO G.A.S. in the last five years for anything amp related. This amp really is for life

SLO 100 is the best sounding amp I've ever heard, but I found you have to wind it up too loud for me to use
