Solid State Amp - $400

Completely changed my mind, (want to appoligize if i am being annoying) i did my research and realized that going from a MG15CDR to a tube amp will be a big leap, so i was thinking somehting more simple....
I play mostly rock and metal: Satch, Vai, Johnson, Van Halen, Metallica, Osbourne, Maiden, Zeppelin, etc..
I was looking for one with a lot of distortion and a nice bright clean channel, no effects necessary, i already have enough...
Sorry again if i am being annoying, i just need your help, thanks in advance! .

Re: Solid State Amp - $400

how about a randall solid state. RG series i think or RH. i played a couple of those at some music store, and they had some pretty versatile high gain and middle gain sounds, and pretty crystal clear cleans. give them a try if you can find one around

Re: Solid State Amp - $400

i have an xxl head . it was great , i loved the hell out it . I sold it because i wanted tubes though .

they are excellent amps, have great cleans, the amber channle goes right up from vintage to good modern rock and ultra goes from vintage metal to metal.

check the reviews out at www.harmony-central.com

i think the trademarks are god amps as well, i have never played one though.

Used 5150 2x2 $500

Fender Blues Jr or Peavey Classic 30 - $400.

Don't buy solid state. Do yourself a favor now.
