Something odd about the Digitech RP7

I've just noticed something about the Digitech RP7.

If I use the headphones out to set up a sound patch, I can get a nice warm overdriven sound that I'm happy with. When I play the patch I've just set up through the normal stereo outs to a desk, the tone completely changes and sounds like a wasp in a jam jar. I tried inserting and removing a jack into the headphone socket as I let a note ring on and the sound changed each time I did it. So in the end, in order to get the sound I like, I now have to leave an adapter in the headphones jack. It's not something that bothers me at all as I do like the sound I get from the RP7, it's just that I find it a bit odd that digitech didn't point this out in a manual somewhere.

actually... I believe they do point it out in the manual. I havent seen one in years, but I know when you insert headphones, it turns on the global speaker emulater. Go into the system menu and turn the speaker sim on, and you can leave the headphone plug out

Thanks Jonrayl, the manual I do have is an RP6 manual which has a section on speaker cab emulation but no mention of the headphone jack thing.
