Squeaky pedal!

Hey there all my Cry Baby wah pedal is super squeaky! Where should I put the wd40? I don't want to ruin the pedal by pouring it in the wrong spot

Re: Squeaky pedal!

Is the squeak mechanical or is it coming through the amp? If you're thinking that WD40 will fix the problem, I'm guessing the squeak is mechanical. If it's not causing a problem, leave it alone.

that is hilarious!

We were just recording (or trying to) last night and my morley wah was squeaking really loud. I didn't have WD40 so I used veggie oil. Worked great. Just put the lubricant on the working joints.

The joints where both sides of the foot rest of the pedal are conected to the body. Also, put a bit on the spring up underneath the foot rest. Should work just dandy!

Re: Squeaky pedal!

Little trick of the trade. WD40 doesn't last very long and can over time cause metal fatigue. A better solution for not much more cash is actually gun cleaner. It is oil based like WD40 but provides a teflon like coating as it dries in time. Hence the name Cleaner/ Lubricant/ Protectant or CLP.
