String weight

Ok, im interested, What weight strings do all you guys use? Doesnt matter about the brand just the weight? I use 9-42, which i consider to be quite light. I am playing about with some heavier gague strings atm. You seem to be able to get more of a grab on heavier strings, almost more tone if that makes any sence.

So whats peoples opinions in various weighted strings

Cheers

I'm presently using 9-42 also and have for years. A long time ago I was using 8-42 but ended up breaking too many high 'E' strings and a set was sometimes hard to come by. I've been wanting to graduate to a "hybrid" set, i.e. 9-46 just to get a little bit more bottom end since I like it chunky - but I just haven't gotten the gumption as yet. We'll see how I'm feeling next string change.
