T-Rex Chameleon power supply

This thing is AWESOME. Fits right under the Pedal Train boards, it's quiet, has switches for 9v/12v and even 9v/ 18v on one of them. It even comes with a cable to daisy chain multiple pedals if there aren't enough jacks for all your pedals.

I also love the fact that it can power pedals up to 300ma, which I needed for the T.C. Electronic Nova Delay. The 18v switch was very useful for my Fulltone OCD pedal, too.

Anyway - HIGHLY recommended power supply. I did a lot of research before I bought a power supply and this was the most promising one of out of all of them. I made the right choice.

Re: T-Rex Chameleon power supply

Hi! I have just received my new TC Nova Delay. Can you confirm that the T-Rex Chameleon handles this pedal without any loss of tone?

Re: T-Rex Chameleon power supply

I'm sorry that I am so late replying to this. I just saw your question right now.

Yes, I can confirm that the Nova Delay does not suffer for any tone loss when used with the T-Rex Chameleon. The Chameleon powers each pedal up to 300ma and the Nova Delay's manual says that's exactly what it needs to run properly without any loss of tone. I also read somewhere that the Nova Delay doesn't even require 300ma, but more along the lines of 280ma, which is even better.

I highly recommend this unit.

Re: T-Rex Chameleon power supply

I heard a cheeky word from someone on the inside that it'll actually cope with more than it says with no adverse effects. Now I wouldn't go trying this, but it means if you're a little over, provided you're not using hundreds of hungry pedals, it won't make any difference.

The daisy chain is intended for non signal things, like tuners. A tuner's true bypass, and there's no signal when it's on, so it doesn't matter if it picks up a little noise. Using the daisy chain WILL add noise and detract from all that lovely clean power you bought the Chameleon for, lol.
