Tatu Pickgauards.com - bad idea

This is what I purchased, pretty isn't it?

This is what I recieved -

It is 50% thicker than a normal pickguard, and everything about it is sloppy. Believe me, it looks worse in person...the material feels like a cheap Halloween prop or something.

Am I being unreasonable?

I was going to use it on a project i'm working on, but i'm think i will just paint it black and use it on a cheapo RG.

At first, I thought it might just be the lighting of the first picture that makes it look so much better. But, the design doesn't seem as crisp and the colors are just sort of "blah" in comparison. Refund?

I prefer the second one cause it seems carved in stone.
But you should have got what you bought.

You should file a dispute (unless the auction mentioned that the picture may not be what you receive).. What you have is clearly not what is in the picture.

Just look at the carving's at the "bottom" (bottom side of both photos) of the single coil hole. Auction pic has the swirly-eye-like bits as very defined and sharp. The one you received is clearly not defined.

I like it, although I agree it doesn't look as sharp as the first pic.

Re: Tatu Pickgauards.com - bad idea

Return the product and demand your money back. Its the exact opposite of the product shown in the picture. For starters, you've received a reverse print. In the picture, the details are raised and painted gold while the rest is black. Yours has details recessed and left black while the rest of the pickgaurd is gold. On top of that, the picture shows crisp, defined detailing in the pickgaurd, the product you've been sent is of poor quality and very rough.

If he won't do a refund. Find his address and pay the seller a visit, then belt him over the head with the product. It looks to be quite weighty so it may be of some use.
