Tech question about my wireless?
I have a Samson UHF 2 channel guitar wireless system. I've had it for a few years.
About a month ago, the connection on the transmitter became faulty. I brought it back to Samson (local here) and they put a new wire on.
About 2 gigs later, that wire became faulty, so i brought it back and they changed it again.
At my gig last Thursday, my guitars sounded weird - not right. Somethine weird going on with the EQ or output. I messed witht he attenuator screw on the inside, but that didn't change the tone, only the level.
When i plugged the guitar in to my rig with a cable, it sounded normal. I A/B the wireless & the cable and even attenuated the wireless evenly with the cable signal. Still something wasn't right about the EQing.
My question is, is there something int he transmitter that could affect the tone or EQ like this? doens't seem like there could be - i'd think that would all take place at the receiver. The CSR at Samson didn't seem to know what to say, other than bring it back. I'm just hoping i can go in a little more educated.
Thanks for any info u might have
