THD Attenuator For Laney TT50 Combo

I'm thinking about getting a THD attenuator for my Laney TT50 combo but being a combo, how do I connect the THD with the amp? I guess I have to open the back of the amp and do some twitching, but is that safe for a relative valve amp newbie like me?

thanks

If it's a one 12" combo look at the ohms of the speaker. You would connect the Hotplate between the speaker and amp.

I think you need to be able to have a speaker cable that you can unplug, and plug the hotplate in there. I have no clue how it works in practice.

You may need to have a 1/4" jack put on the speaker cable so you can plug it into the hotplate. Check the THD FAQ's I think they cover it on the website.
