Trying play metal out of crummy ol 60's Fender amp?

My Grandfather passed away & lefy me with (a blonde twin reverber?) from the 60's I tore the ugley stained stuff it was covered with off & my bouffried painted it. It sounded really bad for metal even with a metal distorn pedal. I took it guitar center & paid $500 to get the old stuff inside taken out & replaced with Line 6 stuff. It's better, but still not that good, I think it's the crummy old speaker. I'm sick putting money into this hopeless old amp, do you the I could get credit on a trade in for a good amp?

A billion trolls walk into a bar and order a beer. The bartender says to one, "funny, we don't get many trolls in here".

European mythology gives us the troll, a creature with many variations but all quite ugly and malicious. The gigantic troll was often dim witted and lived in caves with a fondness for human flesh. Eventually, dwarf sized trolls emerged from the mythology. These smaller trolls were not as large or as strong as the giant trolls, but just as dangerous.

Trolls were popular in Scandinavian folklore. There is much written about the trolls' habits, including an aversion to noise and sunlight. A troll could be destroyed by sunlight, which could turn them into stone. If a person learned a trollís name, they would have the power to destroy it, though retrieving the name of the troll often resulted in the death of the person prior to the death of the troll.

A nasty habit of the troll was to steal babies and seduce wives. This usually created an unpopularity of the troll with mankind. A troll could be warded off with mistletoe and byre and bonfires at the crossroads of the town. Many of these customs still exist today in Scandinavian culture as part of celebrations and throughout many of their holiday rituals.

lol....

Nelson

Why is this so funny? I spent $500 to make this ugly ancient amp sound like a good modern one & now I have to buy new speakers. Would stereo speakers work?

This is too funny but what the hey...

For many years I used a '65 Fender Reveb Deluxe with a Tone Bone Hot British pedal and was able to peel flesh with it. I used to own a real 1968 Fender Bandmaster head that when paired with a nice distortion pedal was also capable of mutilating small children.

The funny/sad part is mutilating a vintage amp with the guts of a Line 6...that is sick. You might have had something that could have been sold in original condition and bought a PAIR of Line 6 Vetta amps.
