The Blackstar gear is awesome. Try it out, I'm sure you'll like it.

Re: Valve distortion pedal ht-dist

I have a blackstar Dual HT pedal, the thing is pure tube tone! I put it in front of any amp I own and it's instant gratification, wether it's a tube amp or solid state. I use a Laney, Mesa F30 combo and Mesa Triple Rec. The only (tube) pedal that made me not use the Dual HT as much is the Hughes & Kettner Tubeman MkII. I also did a shootout with the Ibanez tubeking (red one) and they all are nice. The Dual HT was meatier and thicker, the Ibanez was a little tinty for my tastes. The Hughes & Kettner tubeman MkII is just insane all around, 3 channels.. But I still dig the Blackstar Dual HT.

Re: Valve distortion pedal ht-dist

I'd deffinately recomend it, although i own the HT distx (very high gain almost too much )
I have played both the drive and dist, they all great pedals giving alot of gain and nice amp/tube like tone.
I vouched for the DistX as i had heard it was like a Mark IV in a box , and had lower to mid gain covered by my amp.

btw the pedals sound great through tube and ss amps
