Wah pedals

Are there any dunlops that come stock with true bypass? If not, exactly how hard is it to make your wah pedal true bypass?

Re: Wah pedals

To my knowledge, I don't think so. However, they are equipped with a buffered bypass of some sort. I spoke with the techs at dunlop and they told me that (in my particular case), with the 535Q, you can unsolder two resistors and that'll give you true bypass. I have the numbers of the resistors down and I can provide them to you if you choose to go with the 535Q.

I hope this helps.

Re: Wah pedals

This is one of the reasons that my cry baby never gets plugged in anymore. It really would benefit from a true bypass.

Re: Wah pedals

The CAE Wah from Dunlop is TB, a great wah too.

Great list here of all the Wahs (and other pedals) and the type of bypass they have.

Re: Wah pedals

This is a complete guide to MOD a Dunlop crybaby.

The true bypass mod (old versions, newers), range adjustment, gain mod, vocal mod, adjustable, lower range and mid boost.

Enjoy.
