whats your main workhorse...

Out of all my guitars (10 of em),I keep going back to my 321mh most.its the one that just feels right anytime I feel the need to play.
I figured I'd just make a random post to be social, lol.
Feel free to contribute to the thread

Re: whats your main workhorse...

I give all of my Ibanez guitars almost equal play(Jem, PGM, RG prestige) They all have top notch DIMARZIOS - an upgrade I made to any RG without them. And for amplification.........hands down my Soldano SLO - the only amp for me.

Re: whats your main workhorse...

Right now my SZ720 gets most of my attention only because of the CL/LF pickups in it. Although I'm really considering swapping them into my RG520QS and putting SD/EVH from the RG into the SZ720 to see if they sound any better cuz I definitely don't like them in the RG.

I also try to rotate through all of mine--all 36 of them...lol.
The ones that get played most are the RG620x with Gravity Storms, RG770 Grape Ice and 540P SH PN.

Re: whats your main workhorse...

At the moment i'm really liking my RG1570 w/Evo2 and Paf Pro, but I like to switch it up every few days so everything gets a play.

Rock on!

I rotate through mine also. It's a good indicator of whether I'm having a good day or a bad day.
I'll pick up my JS100 and think, "wow, this plays absolutely terrible..."...then I'll pick up my JS1000 or Jem7 and I'll still be terrible. It keeps my humble and lets me know when I need to practice more, lol.

My '89 Jem 777VBK. Absolutely love that thing. Best feeling neck I've ever owned. I have several other Jems but that one is def my fave. And I bought off a Jemsite member!

To be honest, it is simply amazing. I dial in one great sound on the overdrive channel (I am still using the same amp settings that I stole from a picture of Eddie Van Halen's SLO in a guitar world ad..........just perfect) and one great sound on the normal channel, and with my TC electronic Gmajor in the loop, I have everything I need with those two solid foundation tones. I've been through a lot of amps in my 25 years of playing, and since getting this SLO, I haven't even thought about acquiring any other amp. Sorry to sound like a Soldano employee,,,but since you asked.........it is pure, 3 dimensional liquid gain that picks up every nuance of how you play ....

My wife and daughter play, too--so they "call dibs" on the coolest ones.

Still have my Herc Fede body awaiting assembly and they're fighting over it.
