wow things have been going good for me

i wasn't doin so hot a few days ago . I had problems with an amp that i bought so i returned it thinking i was going to get me shipping back because the amp didn't work when they sent it to me (it couldn't havebecause it didn't have a power fuse ) . Anyways they were cool about it and said thy would have to work on it because it was a chain store and there was a line of people to go through .

I also had another problem with a package i sent to a fellow jemsite member , i belive that is solved , still havn't gotten offical word back on it though . I was worried about that but it should be ok .

Anyways on the second i ordered a mesa mark 3 in blonde with all the foot switches and new tubes in mint shape for 850 shipped which is quite a deal . The guy i talked to at the store said they had thier amp tech look over and he said it was clean . I may get that tomorrow so i am super excited .

Ealier today my dad called me because he was at a pawn shop in dallas (he is working up ther ) and said they had a peavey jsx for 600 out the door . I had that much cash left over so i told him to get it .

So i am going to have two kick ass amps . I was going to use the 600 to buy me another guitar but i still had my first guitar , it just need a pickup which i happened to have bough a steve's special . I went through all my parts and found a push pull pot that i had never opened but i couldn't find a jack and jack plate . The guitar is a strat style and the pickguard had two holes in it . One was partuially un-useable because the controol cavity didn't match up with the pickguard . So i took some wood and stuck the pot in there . I still needed a jack so i took my morley bad horsie that crapped out on me (i have been using it for parts anyways ) and stole the jack off of it and stuck it in the other hole of the pickguard .
the project turned out fairly well , the pickgaurd is an HSS and i only have a single humbucker in it so it has a couple of extra holes but no biggy .

i may take a picture of it and post it . the SS is wired up for series, parallel which gives it almost the ablity of like a neck pickup .

i am really excited about the mesa and jsx and will post full reviews once i get them and am able to make some clips .

Re: wow things have been going good for me

aaaarg 600$ for a JSX head.

Here in Western-europe, you pay, in dollars converted, about 1900$ when you enter an average shop and just buy the thing.

I'm glad you got yourself such gear, exiting ! enjoy it man
