I need their number.

I'd replace my rig with my same setup -

PWH
Mesa Rectoverb
a cord just long enough to hang the f**ker who stole my other rig.

Add a TS9, a THD Hot Plate, and a Line6 Delay, and that's basically my current rig. I'm kind of a minimalist.

Re: You have gigs, your gear gets stolen...

this is not very reasonable,

if your gear get stolen while you are in working in gigs,
you usually cant buy 6000$+ gear like ppl is posting

i will prefer this posted like

You have gigs, your gear gets stolen...
and you only can get 1000$ in gear
**** or new

then i will choose

a peavey valveking
with a frankenstrat
and a nice pedaboard with second hand pedals

good point, that's probably a better question. If I had to, a Mesa F-30 and a H-S-S MIM Fender Strat, and ask the shop to toss in a cable and strap.

This is not particularly challenging for me because *tah dah* all I use at a gig is my RG8670, planet waves cable and a Laney GH50L.

When FX are integral for a song, I use my digitech rack unit, but otherwise I prefer to play dry.

Re: You have gigs, your gear gets stolen...

1 For the first question:

An American HSS strat.

Randall RM100C2 with Blackface, tredplate and superlead modules.

DiMarzio 20ft chord.

2 For the $1000 limited price question:

A Mexican HSS strat

Roland Cube 60

DiMarzio 20ft chord

Just in case anyone wonders why I'd pick a strat as a "if you could get anything," guitar. It's because it's still is the most versatile guitar out there if you want humbucker and single soil tone. Ibanez doesn't make the RG560 any more so unless you spend $4000 on a Suhr or give in and buy an ESP you might not find a more versatile or better guitar for the price than an HSS strat.
