Selling my '89 Jem FP that was meant to be a "VLNG" project. Due to some other purchases, I need to clear a few guitars out and this one just is never going to happen. Basically, this is a player '89 FP that I stripped with the intention of painting. I intended on stripped the headstock as well, but never got around to that. This body was 100% chemically stripped. What you see on the top and back are glue stains in the wood from the way the fabric was attached. The body has only been sanded very lightly to be prepped for paint. Here are some other highlights of the guitar:
- brand new cosmo Edge trem, tuners, nut, strap pins (all new hardware)
- new pink PAF Pro's in neck and bridge
- original Jem single coil in center with new pink cover
- yellow/white base knobs (from a Jem SK)
- pink/white base switch tip (from a Jem DY)
- includes RG550 pickguard (pictured) and original clear pickguard
Since this guitar was a player when I bought it, there is fret wear on the guitar. There are also some stress cracks in the neck by the nut, but these have been glued and as you can see in the pictures, the guitar is fully set up and they don't open up. There are also the common neck joint cracks, which have been glued as well. The guitar comes with a very good condition Coffin Case (sorry, that's all I have sitting around).
If you purchase this guitar and are interested, I will also offer to work with you on getting it painted. I have a real LNG that I can use for exact color matching, provided we work with a paint shop of my choice. I have more details about this that we can discuss in PM.
Price for this guitar is $1150.
