5 way switch, 2nd position parallel, anyone tried this?

Hey Guys! Wanted to discuss this long time ago
so here we go
on the 2 humbucker RG with a 5 way selector switch the positions go like this:
1 - bridge full
2 - inner coils of bridge and neck
3 - bridge+neck full
4 - neck parallel
5 - neck full

i have a JC with TZ and AN, all the positions sound pretty sonically/musically usable, but the position 2 sounds very uninteresting and boring

anyone tried rewiring the 2nd position to have the bridge humbucker in parallel?
is it worth it?
thanks)

I haven't because I'm not a VLX91 expert.

Re: 5 way switch, 2nd position parallel, anyone tried this?

I did briefly on an S with evos, and I have run Series/Parallel push/pulls or microswitches on just about every guitar I owned until I became an S convert. I'm finding I prefer the inner coils position and I use it a lot more than parallel bridge, but I think because it's easy to get to with a 5-way.

I'm considering the following next time I open up the S:

1 Bridge series
2 Bridge parallel
3 Inner coils
4 Neck parallel
5 Neck series

However that might be 3 really samey sounds that can be condensed to a 3 way with
1 bridge series
2 inner coils
3 neck series

I keep toying with options for more sounds, but what I actually need is to be able to switch between a few that I actually use without having to think how to get there, flip multiple switches, pull out a push-pull, or contemplate the choice between several similar options. That said, I'm collecting different sounding guitars each with a purpose or two in mind rather than trying to get one to do everything.
