Air Norton

Could anybody tell me how the FRED sounds in the neck compared to the Air Norton, and if the PAF Pro sounds louder than the Air?

Thanks!

i think the Air Norton is designed to fit the neck position better, while the Fred is more likely to be placed at the bridge, so i dont know what differences between the two.

about the PAF Pro, i think it's more balanced then the Air, it's got a little less mids and a little less basses, and they're not much different output-wise, maybe the PAF PRo is a little bit higher, anyway.

as a neck pickup, i personally prefer the PAF Pro.

Just to throw out some difference in opinion. I loved my Air Norton. I do believe the PAF Pro has more output than the Air Norton, I liked how balanced the PAF Pro was a little better than the AN but I liked the AN better overall than the PAF Pro because I felt the PAF Pro got a little too fuzzy for a neck pickup at least to my ears.

the paf pro,has more treble bite than a air norton, which has more bass and mids, the fred is like a pro with more mid body and does work well in the neck if that is what you are after.
if you have a bright guitar like me( wolfgangs,EBMM sig EVH's) you may want the air norton. if you guitar is warm the PRO is the best choice for the neck,it has real good clarity and sparkle there.sounds cool in the bridge too if high output is not needed.

Interesting.

It sounds close to the Wolfgang´s neck pickup, right?
