Any advice about switching PUs on RG1570?

Hi, fellow guitarists!

First of all: I've done a lil' bit of searching and none of the threads could be able to help me in searching my own pickup setup (yeah, guess why).

So, there's my good old RG1570 with stock pickups. With the exception of V7 wich gained a lot in tone after doing the "Phantom's Mod" (big thanks to you, mate), I'm not very happy with my actual setup. The fact is, V8 is still a bit too weak and S1 sounds meaningless to me. I'd like a bridge pickup with a good compromise between power and note definition (I love bassy and focused rhythm sounds, but I'm still a lead guitarist), and a single coil with good power, but "rich-sounding" and nice for overdrives and cleans (I think I'll be doing some blues works with it). I like to play various genres, from industrial metal (Rammstein-like) to blues, and anything in-between.
You all might know what an RG1570 Prestige is... just in case:
Basswood body (watch out, mids-boosting wood), maple neck and rosewood 24-frets fingerboard. Stock Volume and Tone pots, 5-way switch, no electronic mods. Bridge is an Edge-Pro. I play through a VOX Tonelab LE, using a Fender FM210R as "speaker" (not my ultimate amp, I'll be buying something better, sooner or later).
I don't have particular likings about specific brands, just I can't afford someting like Bareknuckles (budget: 200EUR (c.a 250$, maybe).

If I've missed anything just let me know, and thank you all in advance for the attention and support! Greets!

Dimarzio Evo2 covers alot of ground. I have one in a 1570 myself, sounds great to me.

Rock on!

I took a look at it, seems to be rich in mid frequencies... I'm afraid the final sound could be unbalanced because of high mids of both body and pickup. What kind of sound do you hear from your amplifier?

After reading of the first post, I was thinking about the EVO2 too. I've got one in a RG550 since 2005. The mids are not overwhelming. Don't be afraid. The EVO2 can go from blues to death metal without any problem while keeping a good articulation.
I say go for it.

The TZ might be too bassy for you. This would probably require an adjustment of your amp EQ.

Re: Any advice about switching PUs on RG1570?

Thank you guys! So I'm planning to get an EVO2 and the Area 61 (seems to better fit my likings). Anyway, I'll have some days left till I can buy them, so I'll still be opened to all forms of advice. I'll check this thread constantly, just to be sure! Thanks again!

Oh, and forgive my non-state-of-the-art english!

Match it with a Gravity Storm in the neck.
