Anyone Use Pickups Other Than Evos On Their Jem7vwh, Specifically DMs?

Hey there.. Wondering if anyone has swapped out the Evos in their Jem7vwh for anything else, but specifically looking for any thoughts on the Dark Matter or DM 2s. Id really like to try something other than the Evos.

I literally cant find one ounce of info or first hand experiences online anywhere. Would really appreciate any details, opinions, thoughts, or the like.

dark matter\gravity storm I have loaded in a Jem I built from an old 87 rg550
they sound great... not near as loud as the evos but more versatile IMO
bridge reminds me of a cross between an AT1 and a Norton thick but very present
neck sounds like like a fat single coil

both are very responsive
hope that helps

No experience with those pickups but I swapped the bridge Evo for a Seymour Duncan Full Shred in my 7VWH, prefer the new sound but then I've always liked that particular pickup.

I swapped out the EVO's in my JEM 10th to Gravity Storms and haven't looked back. Don't really like the Evos (to harsh sounding) even in my 7VWH. To me, the GS's are the BEST sounding Vai pick-up there is............
