Bare Knuckles for rg3120

Hi guys,
I'm going to get some BKPs for my rg3120 some time next week.
However, I'm not sure whether to get a Black Hawk set or a Nailbomb bridge and maybe a VHII neck. I currently have a Dimarzio Evolution in the bridge, and the stock PAF Pro in the neck (which I really like), and I'm looking for a slightly tighter and ballsier tone for heavier stuff. Versatility and clarity are important as well. I'd like to go BKP because, you know, I wanna see what the hype is about.

Anywhom, convince me to get either set, or suggest something else if you feel like it.
Thanks in advance!

Well, it is always subjective, but I really like Nailbombs, and have the ceramic version in the bridge of a couple of RGs. Very versatile, but heavy and aggressive if you want them to be. They are very sensitive to the height they are set at though so if you do get them experiment for a while.

Re: Bare Knuckles for rg3120

I had a set of cold sweats in an old basswood talman (of all things!) that sounded incredible. The cleans were a little too sterile for some of the stuff I was going to use them for, but the distortion/high gain stuff was just unparalleled. I could really hear the definition in every note. Different guitar, but the body woods should be similar enough to exhibit some of the same results perhaps.

Yea I've heard a ton of good things on Cold Sweats too, especially in neck position. Maybe a Nailbomb/Cold Sweat set? I'm still kinda tempted by the Black Hawk set, I don't even know why. I guess it just seems so versatile. Man I wish I could afford both
