changing the pole-pieces in EVO's pickups

I have a 555WH (dont laugh, i love it !!) and i have replaced all the hardware with gold stuff, and fitted an OFR, believe me, its a nice guitar

the only thing now that stands out is the black polepieces on the pickups, i can get gold ones, but not with the allen wrench head on them, but with the normal, single flat headed screwdriver single cut in them.

my questions are.

1. If i replaced the pole-pieces would it mess up the sound ??
2. Would it look nice ??
3. Do Olympic swimmers sweat ...

many thanx

It might change the sound. Years ago, I snipped the protruding ends off of polepiece screws on a pup because Neal Schon once said that increases the treble (I think Steve Blucher confirmed that). So, if the screws are of different length and/or composition, it might change the sound.
