Question Confused with wiring diagram in RG1570 (upgrading to SD pickups)

Hello everyone. I bought a Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz set for my RG1570 but I'm having a hard time figuring out the wiring scheme because the wire colors in the stock and SD pickups don't match.

The stock pickups are connected with 2 different wires to the switch.

In the SD pup though, I have more than just 2 cables. If I understand this wiring diagram from Seymour Duncan right, the black cable is the only one that connects to the switch (the red+white are taped and set aside and the green+meshy cables go to ground).

Am I supposed to leave the spots where the white wires were connected empty? Is that the way it works just because it's a different wiring scheme? For the record I want to keep the current configuration working (neck, neck+middle, middle, middle+ bridge & bridge depending on switch position).

I can upload pictures if I'm not explaining myself right. If anyone could enlighten me I'd really appreciate it.

something like this?
Wiring Diagrams - Seymour Duncan | Seymour Duncan

now that i look at it an rg would need the humbuckers tapped in position 2 and 4

screw it black is hot.... green goes to ground ..... and red and white get soldered together for your needs

Thanks. I wired the red+white wires to where the white wires were for the stock pickups. Everything seems to be working fine. I don't get any hum and they are not out of phase.
