Correct Diagram

Hi all,

I have a 2007 Jem77vbk and just wanted to know if the wiring diagram for it is on dimarzio's site?, as i want to check my wiring.

The closest one i could find on there was for jem7/77mod.

Any help would be great

thanks.

Re: Correct Diagram

Hi,

Right, i'm looking at the diagrams and my wiring, and they are different.

The red and green wires from the neck humbucker both meet at one point on the 5 way.
And the same with the bridge humbucker aswell, but meet at a different point.

Also the three wires coming from the single coil,(black, red and bare)are connected to points different to what the diagram suggests.

Help help, am i out of my depth!?

Re: Correct Diagram

The connect to different lugs? Remember where they meet on the back of the pot is the ground. Draw your diagram on one of these if you think it's different. Unless you see signs of re-soldering or someone replaced the 5-way switch with a different one it should be the same... glen

Hope this link works, maybe you can glean more from the pics than from me.

Every wire from the pickups goes to the 5 way first!?

Re: Correct Diagram

i can't see anything from that. But look at the diagram again... all wires connect directly to the 5-way.

I recommend you pencil in (annotate) the diagram as to how your guitar is wired. Then you will understand the diagram and if anything is actually different.

Nothing is wrong with this, except it looks like the black wire of the lower humbucker is also on the lowest pin. This way the humbucker would be constantly on. It should only be the two pins above the lowest. Maybe it only looks wrong on my mobile or please check this. Other than that it looks good, assuming the through connections and output are correct.

Cheers.
